A Certificate of Destruction is issued from DVLA for every vehicle scrapped. Copies are available via email/post. Collections are free of charge and cover the South East of England area.

DID YOU KNOW?

It is the registered keepers responsibility to ensure Section 9 of the V5 (Registration Document) is signed, completed and sent back to DVLA informing them of a change of ownership/vehicle disposal. Our driver will complete this section with our company details on collection. Please sign your part and return to DVLA – the address is on the reverse. Please feel free to contact us if you need further guidance.

Lost Your Registration Document/V5?

If you do not have a V5, we will need confirmation in writing that we can collect and dispose of your vehicle. A ‘Vehicle Surrender Form’ is available to download here. Our driver will also need to see a photographic form of identification, for example a passport or driving licence, on collection of the vehicle. We would advise you inform DVLA that the vehicle has been disposed of by us.

THE SCRAP PROCESS

2. Book collection

Our aim is to make the process as easy as possible. We offer flexible collection dates and times with early mornings, evenings and weekend slots available on request.

3. Vehicle collected

One of our drivers will contact you prior to arrival. There is no 'bartering' regarding price when they arrive, providing the vehicle is complete or as described initially, the payment is handed over and relevant paperwork signed and completed before the vehicle is loaded. Please ensure all personal belongings are removed including your tax disc. A Tax Disc refund form is available to download here

4. Vehicle disposed

The vehicle is returned to our yard on a transporter where it is depolluted, stripped and various parts recycled. It is then crushed on site. We will issue a certificate of destruction via DVLA. Copies can be emailed/posted. This is for your records only.
